If you want to reduce your household expenses, we have good news: on March 13, 2024, the Call for Subsidies for the Energy Renovation of Family Houses opens.

What does this mean for you, and how can you apply?

The public call for energy renovation of family houses will be published on March 13

The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund has recently published amendments and additions to the conditions and criteria for subsidizing the energy renovation of family houses. If you are an owner or co-owner of a family house and want to take the opportunity to improve the energy efficiency of your home, here is everything you need to know about applying to the public call.

Amendments and Additions: What’s New?

On the Fund’s website, you can find detailed information on the amendments and additions to the conditions and criteria. Along with additional clarifications and definitions, a technical annex and mandatory content of the power of attorney have been published. A significant change is that a personal ID will no longer be required; instead, only proof of residence will be necessary.

The public call begins on March 13, 2024, when citizens will be able to download the application form and technical budget form from the Fund’s website. These documents form the basic documentation required for application.

Required Documentation

In addition to basic information about the house and planned energy renovation measures, applicants will need to submit the following mandatory documents:

  • Contractor’s offer
  • Applicant’s declaration
  • Co-owners’ consent
  • Proof of residence
  • Evidence of the house’s legal status
  • Land registry excerpt showing ownership
  • Energy audit and certificate

Who can apply for the subsidy for the energy renovation of family houses?

To be eligible, more than 50% of the house’s area must be used for residential purposes, and the house must not exceed 600 m² of gross floor area or more than 3 housing units.

Can I apply for incentives to install solar panels on my family house?

Yes! If you want to reduce electricity costs in your household, this incentive measure also includes the installation of photovoltaic systems on your home.

Electronic Application

Applications will be submitted via an app available through the National Identification and Authentication System (NIAS). The link to the application will be published as part of the Public Call. It is important to note that the (co-)owners of family houses can submit the application themselves or through an authorized representative.

The Fund will allocate a total of 120,000,000.00 euros for the implementation of energy renovation measures for family houses in 2024. Funds will be awarded up to a total of 62,120.00 euros per application, depending on the percentage and maximum participation in eligible costs according to Table 1.
